Simply Filling Experiment – Day 5

Photo food log for the day:

I’m pretty sure the Luna bar is not “Simply Filling,” but it’s all I had time to grab this morning for breakfast in the car.  Lunch was some homemade turkey sausage (from a recipe I found on Weight Watchers) and an egg scrambled with 2 egg whites.  Dinner was some pork steak and leftover roasted veggies.  Oh and I had a string cheese and a peach as a snack somewhere in there.  Forgot to take a picture.

I think what I’m learning with this little experiment is that following the Simply Filling plan to a ‘T’ is pretty hard to do.  But I’m liking the idea of eating this way as much as I possibly can and having non-SF stuff only when I really need to.  With SF I can really see that my hunger has gotten WAY more under control.  My blood sugar levels feel a lot more stable, too.  I see now that I had let carbs and sugar take over my diet way too much.  This is a good little exercise to do.

And speaking of exercise…. I am SO happy to announce that I got back to the gym today after four days of injury rest (I threw my back out on Monday and haven’t been able to stand up straight for a few days.  Not fun.).  I never thought the day would come when I would actually be aching to work out, but it has become such an integral part of my life, I honestly crave it when I can’t do it.
SO. WEIRD.

  1. You are doing so well on the SF. I tweak the program a little. Some things I think are Simply Filling-ish!!! At the end of the day, it’s making it work for you so that you can continue with it. If it is too restrictive, then it is easy to give up. Keep up the good work.
